Obituary for Jimmy Ray Edwards Rush Springs: Jimmy Ray Edwards, passed away Thursday, April 19, 2018 in Oklahoma City at the age of 51. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, April 24, 2018, at the Southern Baptist Church, with Rev. Paul Phipps officiating.

Burial will follow in the Laverty Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Rush Springs. Jimmy was born Tuesday, June 14, 1966 in Chickasha, to Nick Ray and Pernie Frances (Lowry) Edwards. He was raised in Rush Springs and graduated from the Rush Springs High School.

He lived in Newalla after graduating and returned in 2010 to Rush Springs. Jimmy was a truck driver. He loved the outdoors where he could often be found hunting and fishing.

He especially loved coon hunting and had raised several good dogs. He also loved to hunt deer. He was a member of the Southern Baptist Church in Rush Springs.

Survivors include, 2 sons, Joshua Ray Edwards, Dustin Lee Edwards both of Rush Springs, a daughter, Brandy Cheyenne Edwards of Rush Springs, his father, Nick Ray Edwards and wife Debbie of Rush Springs, his mother, Fran Edwards of Rush Springs, a brother, Darrin Lynn Edwards and wife Tamra of Dibble, a sister, Mary Nickol Gregg of Rush Springs, an aunt, Tammy Dobey and husband Steve, uncle, Rick Edwards, 2 nieces, Sarah Edwards, Kassidi Gregg, 4 nephews, Drake Sumner, Matthew Edwards, Seth Edwards, Macklin Gregg as well as numerous other nieces and nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by, his grandparents, Graden, Helen, Maud, Bruce Edwards, Helen Cuthbertson and an aunt, Mary Jan Lowrey, Pallbearers will be: Keith Gregg, Tony McClure, Dave Crow, Steve Nunn, Steve Dobey, and Rick Edwards.
