Jo-Ann Cullinan, 73 of Old Bridge, New Jersey, tragically passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at her home in Old Bridge, New Jersey. Born Thursday, February 21, 1946 in Brooklyn, New York. Jo-Ann was the daughter of the late, Charles and Helen Coyle.

Jo-Ann grew up in Brooklyn, NY until the age of 11 when her family would relocate to Centereach, Long Island. After graduating High School Jo-Ann went on to attend Suffolk Community College in Selden, NY. A few years later, Jo-Ann and her family relocated to Oneonta, NY.

Jo-Ann then attended S.U.N.Y. at Oneonta and obtained her Bachelor’s degree in education. After several years, the family moved to Lake Ronkonkoma, NY.

Jo-Ann took a job with VESID New York State as a Vocational Counselor. She worked with disabled individuals to help them obtain employment and live independent lives, a 30 plus year career she was extremely proud of. Jo-Ann was known for her crafting.

She enjoyed many different types, including, knitting, crocheting, sewing, and jewelry making. She enjoyed reading, especially to her nieces and nephews, traveling, and spending time with her family camping. Most of all, she enjoyed being with her family.

She was a beautiful woman, whose life was tragically ended, but whose spirit will live on forever in the hearts of those who loved her. Jo-Ann is survived by her loving son, Sean Cullinan of Old Bridge, by her caring siblings, Gerry Smith of Old Bridge, Charles Coyle of Norwich NY, and Ronnie McCutcheon and her husband Mike of Waterloo, NY. She will also be missed dearly by her many, many loving nieces and nephews.

Jo-Ann was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Helen Coyle, by her beloved husband of 43 years, Michael Cullinan, by her loving brother, John Coyle, and by her brother-in-law, Garry Smith. The family will receive family and friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, May 30, 2019, at Michael Hegarty & John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals and Cremation Service, 3377 US Highway 9, Old Bridge, New Jersey. A Funeral Mass will take place at 10:30 AM on Friday at St Ambrose Church located at 83 Throckmorton Lane, Old Bridge, New Jersey 08857.
