Obituary – Jo Ann McLin Jo Ann McLin, age 60, of Centerville, Iowa, the daughter of Dale Eugene and Marilyn Pauline (Pollard) McLin, was born July 24, 1958, in Princeton, Missouri. She left this life on Tuesday, October 2, 2018, in Centerville, Iowa. Jo Ann grew up in Princeton, Missouri and graduated from Princeton High School in 1976.

She was united in marriage on August 6, 1976, to Jeff Ishmael; it was later annulled. She attended Indian Hills Community College before working… Read More » for many years at a collection agency. After its closure, she stayed in Centerville and went into financial banking.

Jo Ann was an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Centerville and enjoyed the fourteen years she spent as Formation Director working with the youth. She also loved owning and operating JoJo’s Boutique in Bradley Hall in Centerville, summers at Rathbun Lake, taking cruises, visiting with family and friends, and her two cats, Bowdie and Beija. Preceding her in death were her parents, Dale McLin and Pauline Gentry.

Survivors include her siblings, Scott and Malane McLin of Osceola, Iowa, Debra McLin of Osceola, and Bill and Tina Gentry of Kansas City, Missouri; nieces and nephews, Autumn and Travis Bryan of Weldon, Iowa, Jesse McLin of Ankeny, Iowa, Dale McLin of Osceola, and Trevor, Tyler, Eli, and Audrey Gentry, all of Kansas City; three great nieces, Honour, Trinity, and Grace Bryan; and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at the Slade – O’Donnell Funeral Home in Leon, Iowa with Pastor Shane Simpson officiating at 1 p.m. Tuesday, October 9, 2018. A visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

A visitation will also be held 5-7 p.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Centerville, Iowa on Monday, October 8, 2018, prior to a wake service at 7 p.m. with Rev. William Hubmann officiating. Arrangements are through the Slade – O’Donnell Funeral Home in Leon, Iowa.

A memorial fund has been established by the Family.
