Obituary for Joan Evelyn Chutka Joan Evelyn Chutka, 83, a resident of Amenia, NY, formerly of Worchester, NY passed away on Sunday, April 8, 2018 at Sharon Health Care Center in Sharon, CT. Born on December 9, 1934 in Mount Kisco, NY, she was the daughter of the late James W. Robbins, Jr. and Ida V. (Bates) Robbins. On October 31, 1953 in Maryland she married John R. Chutka who predeceased her on September 1, 2012 Mrs. Chutka is survived by her loving daughters, June Chutka of Amenia, NY, Jannette Gardner of Worcester, NY, and Jean Chutka Gazzoli of Dover Plains, NY and two sisters, Peggy Ann Robbins of Wingdale, NY and Linda Cleveland of Dickson, TN.
She is also survived by six grandchildren, Jessica Chutka Pelletier of Dover Plains, Alicia Chutka Short of Millbrook, Joseph James, Johnathan and James R. Gardner all of Worchester and Annika Gazzoli of Dover Plains; five great grandchildren, Karly Bonavenia, Autumn Chutka, Kaleb Holmes and Abigail, Joshua and Noah Short and one great-great granddaughter, Joelle Bonavenia. She is also survived by an uncle, Kenneth Bates of Mahopac, NY and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Besides her parents and husband, Mrs. Chutka was predeceased by two brothers, James W. Robbins III and Frederick (Skipper) Robbins.
Calling hours will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at the Hufcut Funeral Home, 3159 Route 22, Dover Plains, NY. Funeral services will take place at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 13, 2018 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Raymond Hill Cemetery in Carmel, NY.
