Weybright, 88, of rural Larwill, died at 9:10 a.m. Sunday, May 26, 2019 at Millers Oak Pointe, Columbia City where she had been a resident since September. She was born December 3, 1930 in Cleveland Twp. , Whitley County, Indiana a daughter of the late Eber L. and Mildred Ellen (Gale) Weybright.

Her formative years were spent in Richland Twp. , where she graduated from Larwill High School in 1948. For 12 years she worked with Chamberlin Products, South Whitley.

She then moved to Three Rivers, MI where she worked for Riverton Industries both in Three Rivers and Marshall, MI. In 1985, she returned to Larwill to care for her ailing parents. She became employed by Deko in Larwill and later their Merriam plant retiring in 2005.

She attended Collamer Christian Church often participating in their activities. In her younger years, she played guitar and enjoyed reading throughout her life. She adored her nieces and later, great nieces and nephews who she loved to spend time with.

She was fond of animals, especially her dogs. She is survived by a brother, Gale A. Weybright, Galesburg, IL; two nieces, Ellen (Larry) McConnell, Larwill and Karen (Robert) Brumbaugh, Warsaw and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service is 1 p.m. Friday at Smith & Sons Miller Chapel, South Whitley.

Burial is at the South Whitley Cemetery. Visitation is 11 a.m. until the service Friday at the funeral home. Memorials in Joan’s honor are to Humane Society of Whitley County.
