Obituary for Joan Louise Bury (DeSapio) Dateline – Rexford, NY Joan Louise Bury, age 81, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 22, 2018 at St. Peter’s Hospice Inn in Albany, NY. She was born on October 15, 1936 in Troy, NY and was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Ann (Patti) DeSapio. She owned and operated mail centers in Texas and Clifton Park.

She retired from the US Mail Center in Clifton Park after a long and rewarding career. Joan was full of life and had a huge heart that was full of love for everyone she met. She adored her pets and sadly left behind her companion dogs Sally Molly Texas and Snooper.

Joan was the wife of the late Staff Sergeant Theodore Bury; mother of Theodore Bury and Joanne Bury; beloved sister of Anthony DeSapio, Marie Mazur and Emily Thomas. Several cousins, nieces and nephews and extended family also survive her. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Townley & Wheeler Funeral Home, 21 Midline Road, Ballston Lake, NY.

Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Thursday from 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM at the funeral home prior to the service. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Waterford, NY.
