Joan Marie Tanksley, 82, of Connersville passed away early Tuesday morning, December 25, 2018, at Heritage Park in Fort Wayne, Indiana where she had been a resident for the past several months. A daughter of Virgil J. and Anna Ruggieri Clark, Joan was born on July 12, 1936, in Liberty, Indiana. On May 17, 1955, Joan was married to Joe L. Tanksley in Liberty.

Mr. Tanksley passed away on August 20, 2012. Besides her husband of 57 years, Joe Tanksley, Joan was preceded in death by her parents; her infant son, John Vincent Tanksley and a brother, Jack Clark Jr.. Joan is survived by two children, Connie Sue (Brad) Lykins of Camby, Indiana and Gregory (Angie) Tanksley of Fort Wayne, Indiana; eight grandchildren, Jeremy B. (Jenna) Lykins, of Martinsville, IN, Lucas M. (Lisa) Lykins, Mooresville, IN, Amber L. (Michael) Hughes, of Greenwood, IN, Holly R. Tanksley, of Grand Rapid, MI, Tristan L. (Desirae) Tanksley, of Noblesville, IN, Zane W. (Brooke) Glentzer, of Columbia City, IN, Chandler W. (Holly) Glentzer and Foster L. Tanksley, both of Ft.

Wayne, IN; fourteen great-grandchildren; a sister, Christine (Allen) Hyatt, of Lubbock,TX; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Joan was a faithful member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church where she volunteered on the mailing group. She was a devoted Homemaker and always demonstrated unconditional love to her children, grandchildren and her many friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Reverend Dustin Boehm at 11 AM, Saturday, December 29, 2018 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Columbia Cemetery. Friends may call at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home from 4 until 8 PM, Friday, December 28, 2018 where the Rosary will be recited at 3:30 PM that day.
