Obituary for Joanne Genivive (Shaffalo) Smallwood Joanne Genivive (Shaffalo) Smallwood, 96 a lifelong resident of Aliquippa passed away peacefully on Friday, October 12, 2018 in Villa St. Joseph, Baden. She was born April 25, 1922 in Aliquippa and was the daughter of the late Pete and Minnie Shaffalo. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her beloved husband Dorsey Robert Smallwood.

A son-in-law: Richard Fetkovich. Five brothers: Bill, Raymond, John, Robert and David Shaffalo and two sisters: Lillian McClain and Violet (Mitch) Benasutti. Joanne was a member of St. Titus Roman Catholic Church, Aliquippa.

She was an avid bowler and dancer. She enjoyed sports, cooking and baking for her family, family, friends and neighbors and was active with the senior citizens. She will be greatly missed by her daughters, RoAnne Fetkovich, Candy (Otto) Zuccaro, Kathy (Richard) Ursitti, and Teresa (Michael) Pauvlinch.

She was blessed with twelve grandchildren: Barb, Christine, Richele, Renee, Mark, Deana, Bobbi Lynn, Toni, Stephen, Jessica, Kayla and Phillip; Nineteen great grandchildren: Nikki, Daniel, David, Krista, Tommy, Brian, Michael, Alyssa, Gianna, Annabella, John, Dante, Mia, Anthony, Rushel, Darrian, Piper, Jacelyn and Nolan. Six great-great grandchildren: Hannah, Carter, Xander, Amyiah, Arionna and Prince along with numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be today from 4-8 pm.

In the Anthony Mastrofranceco Funeral Home 2026 McMinn Street, Aliquippa 724-375-0496. Departing prayers will begin at 12:30 pm Monday in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 1:00 pm in St. Titus Church with Father Joachim Morgan officiating. Entombment will follow at Mt.
