Joe Doss, 86, of Holland, KY passed away Thursday, September 6, 2018 at Macon County General Hospital in Lafayette, TN. The Lafayette, TN native was a former owner and operator of Doss Construction and a United States Air Force veteran. He was a son of the late Dessie Earl Doss and Pattie Francis Driver Doss.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years: Virginia Doss, Holland, KY; 1 son: Tommy Doss and wife, Marcy, Scottsville, KY; 2 daughters: Carolyn Sue Crowder and husband, Mark, Lafayette, TN; Sharon Bland and husband, Colin, Warrington, England; 1 brother: John Wayne Doss and wife, Rachel, Cookeville, TN; 1 sister: Janet Sue Newberry and husband, Bobby, Hendersonville, TN; 5 grandchildren: Louise Foot (Ian); Ashley Crowder, Lake Doss, Sheena Doss and Miley Doss; 2 great grandchildren: Emily Foot and Grace Foot; He was preceded in death by 5 brothers: Calston Doss, Jimmie D. Doss, Gene “Peavey” Doss, Jerry Doss and Earl Ray Doss and 3 sisters: Charla Doss, Barbara Pardue and Francis Kay Doss. Funeral services will be 4:00 P.M. Sunday, September 9, 2018 at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Richey officiating and burial in Underwood Cemetery with military honors by Glasgow D.A.V. Chapter 20.
