Richard Allen “Richie” Carter, 54, of Scottsville, KY passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at the Medical Center at Scottsville. The Scottsville, KY native was a lumber grader for Woodstock Mills and son of the late Johnny Clayton Carter and Opal Faye Harrison Carter. He is survived by his lifelong companion: Helen Johnson, Scottsville, KY; 2 sisters: Peggy Blankenship and husband, Mike, Scottsville, KY and Patty Speakman and husband, Dale, Milford Center, OH; Helen’s sons: Timmy Watson, Chris Watson, Shane Johnson and Travis Johnson, all of Scottsville, KY; 5 nephews, 3 nieces and Helen’s 2 grandchildren: Brooklyn Johnson and Hannah Johnson.

He was preceded in death by 1 brother: David J. Carter. Funeral service will be 5:00 p.m. Friday at Goad Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Danny Patrick officiating and burial in Oak Forest No.

2 Cemetery. Visitation will be after 9:00 a.m. Friday at Goad Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations for funeral expenses.
