Obituary for Joe Sullivan Joe Hubert Sullivan, 81 of Sparta, Tennessee passed away on Friday, October 5, 2018, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born Monday, September 6, 1937 in Spencer, Tennessee. He was the son of the late Jim and Lyla Pack Sullivan.

He was the husband of Vauda Carter Sullivan. He was a member of the O’Connor Church of Christ for 43 years, and he was the owner of Sullivan and Son Lumber Company for 36 years. Survivors include his Wife; Vauda Carter Sullivan of Sparta; Daughter; Daphne Jacob of Sparta; Grandsons; Brook Jolley and Joe Jacob of Sparta; Granddaughter; Sarah Shuff (Andrew) of Gallatin; Great-Grandchildren; Madeline, Jackson, Lincoln, Michael, and Caden; Godson; Shawn Stouder (Ann) and his family, Kaitlyn and Keisha; Sisters; Charlotte, Jimmy, Bettye, Virgie, Donna, Phyllis (Doug), and Sharon (Jerry); Brother; Burton (Linda); and special friend; Judy Whittenburg.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his Son, Terry Sullivan. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Monday, October 8, 2018 at Oak Lawn Funeral Home with Doyle Crawford officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Lawn Memorial Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 7, 2018 from 4pm until 9pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Happy Haven Children’s Home.
