Obituary for James Russell Edmonds Mr. James Russell “Jim” Edmonds, age 67 of the Bon Air Community of White County, passed from this life on Saturday, December 29, 2018, at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville. Born Wednesday, April 25, 1951 in Landsdale, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Everett Edmonds and the late Samantha Pauline Phillips Edmonds. Jim was a Saved member of the Derossett Church of Christ, where he attended many years.

He was a devoted lifetime member of the Bon DeCroft Volunteer Fire Department where he continually helped in many ways to grow the department and serve the community in various ways. He was the 46th licensed Medical First Responder in the State of Tennessee and always did all he could to help his friends and neighbors in times of need. Jim loved to fish and he did every opportunity he could!

Funeral services will be held at 11am on Wednesday, January 2, 2019, in the chapel of Oak Lawn Funeral Home. Jim Scott will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Akins Cemetery, in the Winesap Community of Cumberland County.

Visitation with the family will take place from 5pm until 9pm Tuesday, January 1st and again Wednesday from 8am until the time of the service at the funeral home. Surviviors include the following : wife – Rhonda Edmonds two sons – Ryan (Amy) Edmonds and Nathan (Carrie) Edmonds four daughters – Lori Edmonds, Sara Edmonds, Jennifer (Matthew) McBride and LeAnn Selby sister – Patty Edmonds sister in law – Ruth Edmonds brother in law – Jim Scott sisters in law -Mary Biggs, Carol (Gene) Elrod, Cathy (Johnny) Chaffin, Betty (Rick) Herron, Tammy (Todd) Bowman brother in law – Terry (Theresa) Bryant Fifteen grandchildren and 1 great grandchild also survive. In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by two sisters, Sarah Edmonds and Brenda Scott; brother, Jerry Edmonds; brothers in law, Ricky Bryant and Charles Bryant; sister in law Wanda Denny; mother and father in law, Ruth and Clyde Bryant.
