Joe Osborne age 72 of West Jefferson died on Monday, May 28, 2018 at his home. Born on Wednesday, July 3, 1945 to the late William Willard and Vertie Ethel Pennington Osborne. In addition to his parents Joe was also preceded in death by several siblings.

Joe was a wonderful and loving husband. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War for two years, earning the rank of Lance Corporal. Mr.Osborne is survived by: his wife, Marilyn Osborne, two brothers, William Osborne “Buck” of Millers Creek and Dean Osborne of Creston and one sister, Vergie Wilcox of Juno, Alaska.

Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning, May 30th at 10:00 at Badger Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Steve LeaShomb officiating. Burial will follow in the Ashelawn Memorial Gardens with military rites.

The family will receive friends from 9:00-10:00 one hour prior to the service. Flowers will be appreciated however, the family respectfully request no food please. Words of remembrance or condolence may be viewed or sent to the family through our website, www.
