Dottie Howell Holman, age 84 of West Jefferson, died Friday, May 4, 2018 at Forest Ridge Assisted Living. Mrs. Holman was born September 5, 1933 in Ashe County to the late Roy and Oma Seats Howell. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Joseph “Joe” Holman and two sisters, Nora and Myrtle.

Mrs. Holman enjoyed embroidering and crocheting, she also made canopies for beds. Dottie also spent her spare time gardening. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, May 6, 2018 at Badger Funeral Home Chapel by Rev.

J. D. Walton. Burial will follow in the J. G. Hodgson Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 – 3 PM prior to the service.

Mrs. Holman is survived by: Several nieces and nephews. Flowers will be appreciated or memorials may be made to Forest Ridge Horizons Activities Fund, 151 Village Park Dr., West Jefferson, NC 28694. The family is meeting at the home of Dottie’s great-niece, Brenda Greer at 1054 Paul Goodman in Fleetwood.
