Bill Joe Billings, age 79 of Laurel Springs, died Monday, June 18, 2018 at his home. Mr. Billings was born April 26, 1939 in Alleghany County to the late Robert Estel and Zollie Wiles Billings. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his brothers, Bob, John, Roger and James Billings, sister, Alice Bare and the mother of his children, Brenda Honeycutt.

Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family at gatherings in Gatlinburg. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, June 21, 2018 at Badger Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Richard Reed and Elder Anion Cole.

Burial will follow in the Scottsville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 – 11 prior to the service. Mr. Billings is survived by, son, Barry Joe Billings of Laurel Springs, daughters, Renee Adams and Crystal Bolton (Greg) of Benton, Arkansas, brothers, Roy Billings of Lansing and David Billings of West Jefferson, sisters, Mildred Billings and Wanda Hardin both of West Jefferson, grandchildren, Katrina Long, Ashley Billings, Tara Allen, Seven France, James Adams Jr. and Scott Bolton, 6 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
