Michael Dean Walton age 65 of West Jefferson, died Sunday, July 29, 2018 at Margate Health and Rebab Center. Mr. Walton was born January 24, 1953 in Ashe County to the late Coy and Connie Houck Walton. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by brothers, Richard and Bobby Walton.

Michael enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, fishing and enjoying nature. He was an avid NASCAR fan. Celebration of life services will be held a later date.

Mr. Walton is survived by, son, Matthew Walton and wife Nicole of Concord, brother, Steve Walton of Hickory, grandchildren, Liam and Isobel Walton. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, c/o Donna Gentry, 305 Rayfield Acres Dr., West Jefferson, NC 28694.
