BEEVILLE – Joe Ray Loya, 62, of Beeville, died on May 21, 2018. He was born on Dec. 31, 1955 in Beeville, Tx to the late Ray and Clara (Villarreal) Loya.

He married Ofilia Garcia on Dec. 3, 1983 in Beeville, Tx. He had worked as a truck driver in the construction industry.

He is survived by his wife, Ofilia Loya of Beeville, Tx; one son, Joe “Baby Ray” (Veronica Munoz) Loya, Jr. of Beeville; two daughters, Brenda (Tony) Cortez of Beeville and Erika Ann (Roman) Martinez of Corpus Christi, Tx; one brother, Ray Ybarra of Beeville, Tx; two sisters, Jessica Ybarra of Beeville and Yolanda (Andres) Castillo of Orangedale Community. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 3-9pm on Wednesday, May 23, at Oak Park Memorial Funeral Chapel.

A rosary will be recited at 7pm. The body of Mr. Loya will lie in state at 9am on Thursday, May 24, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10am with Fr.

Richard Gonzales officiating. Burial will follow at the Our Lady of Victory Cemetery #2. Serving as pallbearers are Joe Ray Loya, Jr., Lino Garcia, David Longoria, Roman Martinez, Ryan Martinez and Lalo Alvarado.
