Obituary for Joel C. Schnitz Joel C. Schnitz age 96 of San Antonio made prior arrangements and went to Heaven on Monday, April 16, 2018. Joel was born September 23, 1921 in his home in Gonzales County, TX to Herman and Jerusha (Clark) Schnitz. He was a Veteran of WWII having served in the U.S. Army in France.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy June Schnitz and his children, Gregory Schnitz, Kathy Pattie and Betty Simons and 2 sisters and 5 brothers. Joel is survived by his son, Joel E. Schnitz and his wife, Carol; his daughter, Linda Chain and her husband, Robert; his loving grandchildren and great grandchildren; his brother, Lewes Schnitz and his wife, Jean; numerous nieces and nephews; and the numerous special friends he claimed throughout his life. SERVICES Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Friday, April 27, 2018 at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North, 3401 Cherry Ridge Drive.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M. with the Service to follow at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at the Fred J. Tips Mausoleum Chapel at Mission Burial Park North, 20900 IH 10 West.
