Obituary for Joelle Cherry Trombetta CHERRY TROMBETTA, Joelle P. “Jo” – 42, of Wildwood, passed away on Monday, June 18, 2018. Jo graduated from Lower Cape May Regional High School (1993) and later graduated from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia where she earned a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts. This love of performing and singing would become a cornerstone of her life.

Throughout Jo’s life she performed in several stage productions and musical reviews with various performance companies, including the “Shaken Not Stirred Players”. Most recently she was performing with the “Harmony Road Trio” in the Cape May County area. Jo was a devoted spouse, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend who was able to brighten any room that she walked into.

Her sense of humor was one of her most winning traits and it was infectious in its joy, vibrant energy, and ability to make people feel immediately at ease. Her personality and sense of humor allowed her to gather numerous friends throughout her life and they can almost all tell you about “when they first met Joelle”. Her kindness and generosity were also characteristics that endeared her to almost everyone she met.

If you asked Joelle for a favor or to help you with something, she rarely turned you down, in spite of several debilitating health conditions. In spite of these health conditions, Joelle lived life on her terms and as someone once put it, “Girl, you lived like a rock star”. She is predeceased by her mother, Alice (nee Hiers) and her father, James Cherry.

Jo is dearly missed and forever loved by her family which includes her husband Jason Trombetta; brother James Cherry; sister Luann (Richard) Rinnick; nieces Abigail Rinnick and Eden Trombetta; nephew Jack Trombetta and many beloved extended family members and close friends, all of whom she valued and cherished beyond words. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday (June 25th) at 11am at Assumption RC Church, 7100 Seaview Ave. , Wildwood Crest, where friends will be received by the family from 9am until 10:45am.

Interment will follow Mass in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Cape May. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation or the ALS Association. For convenience and acknowledgement purposes, donations can be made through “In Memory Of” by visiting: www.
