Joey Robert Goodbar, age 66, of South Charleston died at Springfield Regional Hospital on May 8, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Greene County, Ohio on March 22, 1952, to Roy and Martha (Dawes) Goodbar. Joey attended South Charleston Methodist Church and was retired from Metals USA Greenline and was an Army veteran.

Survivors include his wife Carol (Piatt); children: Dustin (Holly Fulton) of South Charleston, Rebekah Nichols of Fort Wayne, IN, and Timothy Goodbar of Columbus, and step son, Rodney Ping of Columbus; 14 Grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Also surviving are 3 brothers: Jerry (Sandra Ingling) of Springfield, Jack (Jean Shaffer) of Enon, Jon (Sheryl) of Cedarville; one sister, Judith (Larry) Crisler; one brother in law Carl (Nancy) Piatt of Sabina; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial contributions are suggested Clark County 4-H or South Charleston Methodist Church. Visitation will be held at Littleton Funeral Home, Sabina, on Saturday, May 12, 2018, from 10-12Noon, when a funeral will begin. Pastor Jeff Smalley officiating; burial, at the convenience of the family, Sabina Cemetery.
