Johanna Esther Davis March 23, 1933 – March 18, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Johanna Esther Davis, 85, of Sheppton, died Monday at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Hazleton. Born in West Hazleton, March 23, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Michael Schagen and Jennie Vaccaro and was a graduate of West Hazleton High School. Johanna was an active member of the St. Johns Primitive Methodist Church in Hazleton where she was a Sunday School teacher and church trustee, a member of the Cross and Crown class and the Ladies Aides.

Her true passion in life was spending time with her family and her church. Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents was her husband James Davis, Sr. Surviving are her son James Davis, Jr. and his wife Maria of Hazleton; daughter Melanie Antonelli and her husband Dennis of Sheppton; grandchildren Cesar Davis and his wife Cherie, Dennis Antonelli, Jr. and his companion Tiffany, James Davis III and his wife Megan, Janet Marie Sniscak and her husband Greg and Jessica Rose Antonelli and grandchildren Brandon Willamson, Blaise, Jaiden and Ty Antonelli, Colin Davis, Richie Rossi, Chelsea Davis, Caleb Sniscak, Elizabeth Davis and Eli Sniscak. A Memorial Service will be planned with the date and time being published in a future edition of the Hazleton Standard Speaker.

Krapf and Hughes Funeral Home, Inc. is assisting the family through their Hazle Chapel in Hazleton.
