John A. Newcomer, 80, of Waltersburg, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. Born March 6, 1938 in Uniontown, he was the son of the late Nedrow Glenn and Nellie Louise Frank Newcomer. A resident of Smock for over 50 years, Mr. Newcomer attended the New Life Free Methodist Church, Smock and was a retired truck driver for over 48 years.

John was a veteran having served in the US Air Force and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He is survived by the love of his life Carol Yoder Newcomer to whom he was married 56 years. Two sons & daughter in law John & Heather Newcomer of Brownsville, Allen Newcomer of Smock; brother & sister in law Richard & Rhoda Newcomer of Florida; two sisters Doris Shamblin and Barbara Riley both of Ohio and his beloved pet dog Nellie.

He is preceded in death by two brothers Raymond and Robert Newcomer and an infant sister Mary Newcomer. Visitation will be held Friday from 2:30-4:30 & 6-8 PM at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations, Family Owned and Operated, 191 Liberty St. Perryopolis, PA 724-736-2515. Funeral srvices will be held Saturday at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations at 11:00 AM with the Pastor Ken Walls of New Life Free Methodist Church officiating.
