Mr. John Allen Baskin passed away January 16, 2019, at 11:05 AM, with his wife by his side. John was a man who worked very hard. He worked for the City of Birmingham, Alabama for 28 years.

He was staying in West End where he met and married the love of his life Shirley Wheeler on December 21, 1975. John was preceded in death by his parents: Enoch and Ola Baskin; four sisters: Robbie Brown, Leola Sherrer, Hattie Key, Juanita Whitman; two sons: John Baskin, Jr., Richard Baskin; one daughter: Tyna DeSazo; one niece: Gisele Lee; one brother: Enoch Baskin, Jr He leaves to mourn, A wife: Shirley Baskin who loved him like no other; one sister: Eliabeth Baskin; three daughters: Rosalyn (Vanessa), Katina and Terri; one son: Rufus Baskin; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, close friends and family.
