John Allen Bullington, 78, passed away Monday, March 25, 2019 at Signature Healthcare, LLC. He was born in Owensboro on June 10, 1941 to the late Edward Bullington and Elizabeth Morris Bullington. He enjoyed fishing and tending to his garden.

He was dearly loved and will be missed greatly. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Dant Bullington, who passed away October 6, 2011, his daughter, Thelma Jean Bullington Cook, his brothers, Jimmy, Walter, Gary, and his sister, Shirley Bullington Cassady Bennett. John is survived by his children, Allen (Elaine Allen) Bullington, of Newburgh, Indiana, Carolyn (Russell Lyons) Bullington of Owensboro, Kentucky, 5 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, his siblings: Margaret Johnson of Owensboro, Theresa Rice of Reed, Eddie (Sharon) Bullington, Bobby (Linda) Bullington, Billy (Amy) Bullington, all of Owensboro, and his best friend (dog), Daisy.

Services will be 11:00 am Thursday, March 28, 2019 at Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory, with Brother Jim Adams officiating. Burial will follow at St. Alphonsus Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9:00 am to 11:00 am Thursday at the funeral home.
