Obituary for John Alton McEwen Jr. John Alton McEwen, Jr., 80, of Little Rock, AR, formerly of Magnolia, AR and Camden, AR, passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at his residence, John was born on April 17, 1938 in Pittsburg, PA to the late John Alton, Sr. and Florence Millicent (Puhl) McEwen. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. After his time in the military, he was employed as a customs inspector in Laredo, Texas and Anchorage, AK, taught firearms and pursuit driving at the Federal Law Enforcement Academy in Georgia and for the State of Arkansas Law Enforcement Academy in Camden, AR.

John was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Diane Probert. He is survived by his wife Sallie McWilliams McEwen of Little Rock, AR; son John Alton McEwen III of Anchorage, AK; daughter Heather Anne Gray of Little Rock, AR; and grandchildren, Asher Gray and Spencer Gray both of Little Rock, AR and Tyler Kicklighter of Russellville, AR. Graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at the Macedonia Cemetery with Bro.
