John Alvin Titman age 78, of Paw Paw passed away unexpectedly Saturday, June 16, 2018. He was born June 11, 1940 in Columbus Nebraska, the son of Lyle and Frances (Stachura)Titman. He was united in marriage to the former Joyce Fox on June 30, 1990 in Paw Paw; she preceded him death on October 19, 2011.

John retired from General Motors after 30 years of service. He enjoyed gardening, lawn maintenance, remodeling, and painting. John always had a project going.

He enjoyed golfing; John also enjoyed making golf clubs for his family and friends. He was known as a professional thoroughbred horseshoer. John was a big Nebraska Cornhusker’s fan.

He enjoyed spending time with his family; especially his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed. John is survived by his children; Jack (Debbie) Titman and Tracy (Jeri) Titman, grandchildren; Kirk (Daneen), Cody, Tyler, Nicholas, Heather, Christiana and Dallas, great-grandchildren; Conner, Marqeece and Kingston, brothers and sister; Judith Davis, Thomas (Cynthia) Titman and David (Sue Anne) Titman and his beloved k-9 child; Maggie Mae.

John was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Joyce, daughter Kelly Rae (Jeffery ”Ruble”) Davis and sister and brother; Constance Lovely and Richard Titman. A Funeral Mass for John will take place Friday, June 22, 2018 at 10:00 AM from St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Paw Paw with Rev. Fr.

Joseph Xavier and Rev. Fr. Robert F. Creagan to co-officiate.

Visitation with the family will take place from 9:00 AM until the time of Mass. Private inurnment to take place in Wildey Cemetery at a later date. Those planning a memorial contribution are asked to consider St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
