John D. Blair, Jr. Age 76, of Canton, passed away Friday May 4, 2018. He was born in Canton, a son of the late John D. and Mary Alice (Edmonson) Blair, Sr., and had been a Canton resident most of his life. John was retired from Timken Steel, and later retired from Canton City Schools.

He served in the U. S. Army during the Viet Nam War, and was a member of John Fulton American Legion Post #272 in Akron. John enjoyed backyard parties with his friends and cousins. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Gregory and Erica Jackson, and their daughter, Peyton, and his many cousins and friends.

Services will be held Sat. at 2 p.m. in the Formet-Clevenger & Gordon Funeral Home with Rev. William Mabry officiating.

Friends may call Sat. from 1-2 p.m. before the service. Interment will be in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery with full Military Honors at a later date.
