John Burr, 72 of Nunda Township, Wolverine, passed away on May 23, 2018 at his home. John was born on September 3, 1945 in Petoskey, MI, the son of Floyd R. Burr and Helen F. (Ford) Burr. He grew up in Wolverine and attended school at Wolverine High School.

On June 29, 1968 he married Linda Paquin in Saginaw, MI. John worked as a truck driver for 26 years. He was a father of four girls and loved his grandchildren and family.

John was an avid outdoorsman; he enjoyed hunting and farming. He spent 15 years on the Cheboygan County Livestock Developmental Committee as well as spending 15 years on the Cheboygan County Fair Board. He coached baseball, softball, and basketball at Wolverine Schools for 13 years and coached little league for 10 years.

John is survived by his wife Linda Burr, children Ginnylyn (Allen) Stradling, Kathy (Joe) Bice, and Tonna (Bob) Bolinger, eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, siblings Rebecca (George) Prokop and Karen Hahn, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Candace Burr, and grandson Jacob Bolinger. There will be a burial at Silver Lake Cemetery on Friday May 25th at 4pm.
