John C. Wicker, 92 of Carthage passed away Saturday June 23, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 11am Wednesday in the Chapel of Rogers Pickard Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Shallow Well Cemetery.

Mr. Wicker was born in Moore Co, a son of the late John William Wicker and Sallie Ferguson Wicker. Mr. Wicker retired from the A& P after 35 years and from teaching Art at CCCC after 25 years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Kelly Wicker, siblings, Alice W. Caddell, George Wicker, Margaret Wicker, Richard Wicker, and Catherine Wicker.

Mr. Wicker is survived by his daughter, Shaw Oldham-Hannah and husband Bill of Carthage; a son, Cameron Wicker of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; three grandchildren, Lauren Stone Garner and husband Michael of Vass, Haven Stone McRae and husband Hack of Southern Pines, and Brian Wicker of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; two great grandsons, Ian McRae and Kamden Garner.

The family will greet friends beginning at 10:00am Wednesday before the Funeral. Memorial contributions can be made to the Sanford Brush and Pallet Club, PO Box 4886 Sanford, NC 27331.
