He was born in Jonesville, VA, on October 17, 1936 to the late Mary (Hall) and George ton. He retired from Middletown City Schools in 1994 after 30 years of service.

He is survived by his son James ton of Germantown, OH; his daughter Margaret “Meg” ton of Tazewell, TN; his 3 grandchildren, Lindsey, (Nathan)Whitson, James (Krystal) ton and Joseph ton his great-grandchildren, Caroline Whitson and Aiden ton; his brother Ken (Rae Anna) ton. A Graveside Service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday March 23, 2019, at Highland Cemetery, Miamisburg, OH, with Pastor Jeff Kilburn officiating.
