John’s Obituary Funeral services for John David Bunch, 71, of Marshall will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, May 8, at the Summitt United Methodist Church with Rev. Dick Dobbins officiating. Interment will follow at the New Grover Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1 to 2 pm Wednesday at Summitt Methodist Church. John David Bunch was born December 15, 1947 in Marshall, Texas to his parents James Clifford Bunch and Frances Mae Weekly. Mr. Bunch married the love of his life, Gaynell Jones Bunch on April 3, 1982 in Marshall, Texas.

He was a member of Summit Methodist Church. Mr. Bunch served in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Bunch worked as a superintendent for WITCO Chemical Corp for 31 years.

Mr. Bunch is survived by his wife, Gaynell Bunch; children, Melissa Anderson and husband, Jason, Christy Atkins, Allen Taylor and wife Mary Jo, Angie Manley and husband, Dave, Cary Taylor and wife, Melinda; brothers, Larry Bunch and wife, Rudora, Donald Bunch, Jimmy Wayne Bunch; 14 grandchidren; 6 great-grandchildren. Mr. Bunch is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Deanna; brothers, Phillip and Jimmy. The family as requested that in lieu of flowers any donations be made to Summit Methodist Church or American Cancer Society.
