John’s Obituary John E. Malley, 78, of Merrimack passed away on Friday, February 8th, 2019 at the Catholic Medical Center in Manchester after a period of declining health. He was the widower of Rosina (McGowan) Malley, who pre-deceased him on May 29th, 2007. He was born on July 27th, 1940 in Brighton, MA, son of the late Elmer and Ora (Whippee) Malley.

He was a graduate of Waltham High School in 1959. John proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1959 to 1963. After his honorable discharge from the Navy, he worked for many years as a Machinist for Kollsman until his retirement in 2005.

He and his late wife Rosina were avid travelers and enjoyed taking their family on yearly camping trips around the country. He also served as a MYA baseball coach for over 20 years. John is survived by three sons, Joseph Malley and his wife Slavka of MD, John Malley of Merrimack, who was his caretaker for the last 12 years since Rosina passed, and James Malley and his wife Stephanie of Goffstown; two daughters, Jackie Malley of Concord, and Julie Connolly and her husband Matthew of NC; nine grandchildren, Sarah, Emily, Liam, Conan, Ben, Raegan, Colin, Ora and Braeden; a brother, Bob Malley of MA; a sister, Holly Malley of MA and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours will be held at the Rivet Funeral Home, 425 Daniel Webster Highway, Merrimack on Tuesday, February 12th from 4 – 7 PM. A funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Wednesday, February 13th at 10 AM. Burial with military honors will follow at Last Rest Cemetery, Baboosic Lake Road, Merrimack.
