John Edwin Evol Sr., 80, passed away November 26, 2018 in Union Hospital Clinton at 1:50 am. He was born November 17, 1938 to Anton Evol and Thelma Hardman Ball in Clinton, Indiana. John worked for many years as a security guard at both Mason and Hanger, and Allied Barton.

He joined the United States Marine Corp in 1955. He was a member of the VFW, and the Masons. When he was younger, he enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He enjoyed spending time with his animals. John was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, a sister, and a grandson, Anthony Hale. He is survived by his wife, Vickie Jackson (m.

January 26, 2012), two daughters, Hope Jackson, and Aneta Evol, stepsons, Dennis and Jason Jackson, sisters, Mary Yowell (Bobby) of Clinton, and Joyce Strange (Bernie) of Terre Haute. Also surviving are several grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild, as well as a close friend, Jennifer Stanley. Services for John will be Thursday November 29, 2018 at 1 p.m. at the chapel at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Clinton, Indiana.
