John’s Obituary John F. “Jack” Sharkey, Sr., 89, formerly of Bethlehem Twp. passed away Sunday, February 3, 2019 at Saucon Valley Manor, Hellertown. He is the husband of the late Margaret A. “Peggy” (Nelson) Sharkey.

He was born in Philadelphia on December 30, 1929 to the late Emmett J. and Mary C. (Ryan) Sharkey. John served our country faithfully in the US Air Force during Korean War. He was a manager for MAB Paints, Lehigh Valley for 42 years until his retirement.

He is a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Bethlehem Twp. SURVIVORS Children: John F. Jr. (Jill) Sharkey of Center Valley, Catherine M. Warfield of Easton, Mary C. Hurtt of Easton, Patricia A. (Kevin) Cope of Bethlehem; grandchildren: Frank McGimpsey, Michael Warfield, Lisa Anderson, Daniel Cope, Megan Hubbuch, Kate Yurasits, Courtney Franchio; great grandchildren: Mackenzie, Lucas, Jack, Elsie, Henry, Julian, Grayce, Harper, Jenson, Sydney, and Chloe. Predeceased by a brother: Emmett Joseph Jr. SERVICE Family and friends are invited to call 9 – 10:15 a.m. Friday, February 8, 2019 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc. 326 Main Street – Hellertown followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Friday at the Church, 1817 First St. Bethlehem Twp.

The interment will conclude services at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem. Military Honors will be accorded by the Edward H. Ackerman Post 397, Hellertown. Online expressions of sympathy can be recorded at: www.
