John’s Obituary John H. Transue John H. Transue, 71, of Bangor, passed away on Tuesday, May 28th, 2019 at his residence. John was born in Hazelton, PA on November 8, 1947, a son of the late Herbert and Catharine (Fox) Transue. He was the husband of Kathy A. (Roberts) Transue.

They celebrated their 22nd wedding anniversary last September. John worked for the Communication Workers of America, Local No. 1109, for many years until retiring.

He was a 1966 graduate of Bangor High School. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Throughout his lifetime, John enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, golfing, camping, and spending time at his cabin in Pike County.

He also enjoyed spending time with his loving family and friends. In addition to his loving wife Kathy, John is survived by a daughter, Kelly Stout, wife of Bryan; a son, Lee Transue; sister, Faye Reimer, wife of Richard; nephews Mark Reimer and Jeremy Luettgen; nieces Christine Cooper and Amy Luettgen; sister in law Connie Luettgen; brother in law David Luettgen; 3 grandchildren Ethan, Kody, and Ella Stout; and many great-nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 3, 2019, in the James B. Gaffney Funeral Home, 314 South First Street, Bangor, PA.

Family and friends are invited to call, Monday, from 10 to 11 AM in the funeral home. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Online condolences may be offered at gaffneyparsons.com.
