John’s Obituary At 63 years of age, Jack passed away unexpectedly in his home on Tuesday March 5. Born and raised in Chelsea he was a son of late John J., Sr. and Frances (Majeski) Ford. Jack attended local schools and was graduated from Chelsea High School.

Upon graduating he enlisted into the US Air Force and served during the Vietnam Era. He was honorably discharged from the Air Force at the rank of sergeant in 1977. He was a resident of Chelsea for most of his life.

Later he moved to Malden and Revere before settling in Saugus a few years ago. Jack worked for the past 12 years as a Pharmacy Technician at the Everett Costco Pharmacy and was planning his retirement at the time of his passing. In his lifetime Jack enjoyed reading, traveling and computer games.

He favored watching history programs and legal dramas. He was a member of the V.V.A. Chapter 908. He is survived by his beloved wife Grace Siu Chu of Saugus and he was the loving father of John Richard “Ricky” Ford of England and the late Patricia J. Ford.

Dear brother of Carol Ford of Chelsea, Michael and Beverly Ford of Saugus and the late Brian W. Ford, Sr He was also the adored grandfather of Jackson Ford. ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral from the Frank A. Welsh & Sons Funeral Home 718 Broadway CHELSEA on Tuesday March 12, at 8:00 A.M. Followed by a funeral mass at St. Rose Church, 600 Broadway Chelsea at 9:00 A.M. Services will conclude with interment at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.

Relatives and friends are most kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held at the Welsh Funeral Home on Monday from 4 – 8 P.M. funeral home fully handicap accessible, ample parking opposite funeral home.
