Obituary for Mr. John Kennedy John Kennedy passed away suddenly at his home with his wife beside him on Friday, April 27, 2018. He had been in failing health for some time. He was born June 13, 1946 in Massena, NY to Arnold and Belva Kennedy.

He graduated from Massena Central High School, Paul Smiths College in 1967 and SUNY Plattsburgh in 1970. John had a 32-year career with FEH BOCES teaching Special Education. He retired in 2001, continuing to work summers and as a substitute teacher with “his kids” for many years.

He always said how lucky he was to have enjoyed going to work every day at a job he loved. He was married to his wife, Linda Matteson Kennedy for 51 years. She survives.

Also surviving are daughter, Lisa (Tim) Rule and their boys, Graham and Colin of Jensen Beach, FL; daughter, Erin Kennedy of Port St. Lucie, FL and Saranac Lake, NY; son Bradley (Carrie Miner) Kennedy and their son, Joseph and daughter, Kathrine of Port St. Lucie, FL; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Archie and Carol (Matteson) McKee and Kevin and Susan (Matteson) Hafter, all of Malone. He leaves many loved nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and nephews and treasured friends. There will be no services at this time.

The family welcomes friends and loved ones to stop in at his home on the Denio Road, Malone to offer their condolences.
