John K. Soderquist age 92 passed peacefully into the loving arms of his Savior with his daughters Diane and Jane by his side on July 19, 2018. He is survived by daughters Jane (Michael) Kabes, Diane LaBoube,Grandchildren Tim (Deanne) Bruner, Stephanie (Jesse) Honn, step grandchildren Sean (Chhun) Kabes, Sarah Kabes, Julia (Michael) LeVan and great grandchildren Christopher and Chloe. John is preceded in death by wife, Donnis, parents Grace and Reuben, brothers Ray and Bill and son-in-law Lorell LaBoube.

John was proud to serve our country in the Army during WWII. He was passionate about airplanes and flying brought him great joy. Raised on a farm, he loved the land, and remained a farmer at heart.

John enjoyed traveling, music, ice cream, and in later years watching children play at the park. He was a kind and loving husband, father and grandfather and will be truly missed. Graveside service will be held, Saturday, July 28 at 11:00 at Johnson County Memorial Gardens, 11200 Metcalf Avenue, Overland Park, KS.
