4, at 10 a.m. in the Greybull High School auditorium. Mark 61, passed away unexpectedly Dec. 19, in Marietta, Ohio, where he was working.
Mark was born Sept. 2, 1957 in Austin, Texas, the son of John M. and Marlys Harvey Good. He grew up and received his education in Greybull and graduated from Greybull High School in 1976.
He attended Central Connecticut State University in New Britain, Conn. , Black Hills State in Spearfish, S.D. and received technical training for the petroleum Industry specializing in Drilling Fluids in Houston, Texas which led to his almost 40 year career in the petroleum industry. His work took him around the world from a gold mine in Peru, the outback of Australia to an offshore drilling ship in Mozambique along with dozens of other countries around the world.
Despite his busy travels he always made the effort to stay connected to his family and friends. At the time of his death he was working as a consultant as a Drilling Fluids Operations Manager for Antero Res. He and Jennifer Jolley exchanged wedding vows Nov.
11, 2011 in Pinedale. The two loved to host friends and family at their lakeside home in Walker, Minnesota, taking guests on pontoon rides across the lake for dinner or just exploring the lake itself. Visitors could fish, go jet skiing, or just sit on the dock or in the back yard, watch the sunset and enjoy prime rib, Mark’s specialty.
Mark had a passion for life. He loved socializing and never met a stranger. He had a passion for Classic Rock and sports.
He was a season ticket holder for the Denver Broncos where he would be in the stands cheering them on or in his dedicated Broncos man cave. He dearly loved his wife, children, family and friends as well as his extended family in the oil field. Mark was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents; his son Rio Brae Good and his brother Chris Good.
He is survived by his wife Jennifer Jolley/Good of Walker; two sons, Matheau of Casper and Jared of Walker; daughters Caitln of Grand Rapids, Mich. and Gabrielle of Casper; his parents, John and Marlys Good of Greybull; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Rick and Samantha Good of Casper and Scott Good of Greybull; a sister and brother-in-law, Sean and Joni Good Walker of Dayton; his mother-in-law, Mary Jolley of Casper, and four grandsons, twins Kamryn and Gatlin, Deagan and John Mark “Little M.'” A reception for family and friends will be held at the Good Compound (Scott’s place) on the Greybull River Road following the services. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made at the Bank of Greybull, which will be distributed throughout the many charities Mark supported or took part in.
