John Magee, 75 of Eltingville passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at his daughters home in Parlin, NJ surrounded by his loving family. Born Tuesday, May 25, 1943 in Brooklyn , New York, he was the son of the late Joseph Magee and the late Gertrude Schell Magee. John a former dietary Chef at Staten Island University Hospital, spent his free time gardening, as well as fishing.

John was an avid bowler also. He loved taking cruises and relished trips to Atlantic City. John was the beloved husband of 41 years to the late Sharon who passed away in 2006.

Loving father of John Magee, Christine Walsh, Jimmy Magee and Kelly Magee. Dear brother to 9 sisters and 5 brothers. Adored father in law of Laura Magee, Michael Walsh and Suzanne Magee.

Cherished grandfather of Christina, James, Tara, Paige, Brendan, and the late Timothy. doting great-grandfather of Danny. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church located at 5411 Amboy Road Staten Island, New York 10312.

Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Staten Island, NY. The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Thursday, March 28, 2019, and 2-5 & 7-9PM on Friday March 29, 2019 at the John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd, Staten Island, New York.
