Emil J. Panzarino ( Sonny), of Princes Bay passed away on Saturday March 9 at Seaview Home and Hospital at the age of 95. Born in Brooklyn to the late Joseph and Stella, Emil was a Proud United States Army Veteran, serving in Central Europe during WWII. He received the American Campaign Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, the European African MIddle Eastern Campaign Medal and the WWII Victory Medal.

Emil worked for the United Postal Office and was a member of the Postal Workers Retiree Club. He was an avid Mets and Jets fan, he also enjoyed listening to ,music from the Big Band Era as well as Jazz. In his spare time he would take the occasional trip to Altantic City, but what gave him the greatest pleasure was spending time with his family.

He was the devoted husband of the late Lorraine, Loving father to Brian & Joe, Dearest grandfather to his 4 grandchildren; Lauren, Amy, Courtney and Emil, and his 3 Great Grandchildren; Anthony, Grace and Emilia. A gathering of family and friends will take place on Monday from 2-5 & 7-9p.m. at the John Vincent Scalia Home For Funerals Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday at 10:00a.m. at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church.
