Anthony LaPorta, 73 of Eltingville passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2019, at home surrounded by his loving family after a long illness. Born Saturday, January 19, 1946 in Brooklyn, New York, he was the son of the late Joseph LaPorta and the late Rose Infuso LaPorta. Anthony was a hard working man.

a Self Employed Printer, Anthony spent many years, from the age of 14 working hard and providing for his family. After retiring his printing business, Anthony became a Purchasing Manager for a Automotive Parts Company, Never willing to settle into retirement, Anthony worked hard until almost the end of his life. In his free time Anthony was social, he enjoyed trips down to AC, and cherished more than anything spending time with his grandchildren, Anthony will be remembered fondly by his friends as a True Good Guy, always willing to help out and always willing to listen and give advice.

He was the beloved husband of of 53 years to Elaine LaPorta. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:00 AM on Monday at Holy Child Church located at 4747 Amboy Road Staten Island, New York 10312. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Staten Island, NY.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM to 9:00PM on Saturday, June 1, 2019, and 2-5 PM and 7-9 PM on Sunday June 2, 2019 at John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd, Staten Island, New York.
