Joyce Devine, 81 of Staten Island, New York passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2019, at Staten Island University Hospital South, surrounded by her loving family. Born Tuesday, December 14, 1937 in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Jennie Locilento. Joyce was raised in Brooklyn and would go on to graduate from Lafayette High School.

Joyce would meet the love of her life, Joseph Devine, at the Brooklyn Academy Music while attending a show. The two would marry in 1958 and spend the next 61 years together. Eventually the family would move to Staten Island, where they would raise their son.

Joyce was a past President of the Columbiettes in the Staten Island Council of the Knights of Columbus. Joyce worked for 39 years as a Claims Representative with the Social Security Administration on Staten Island. In her spare time Joyce enjoyed reading, attending Broadway Shows, and traveling.

She especially enjoyed cruising, visiting Myrtle Beach, and traveling to Italy. Joyce is survived by her beloved husband, Joseph, by her loving son, Kevin and his wife Lori, by her cherished grandchildren, Nicholas Devine, and Michelle Santangelo, by her caring brother, Ronald Locilento, and by many loving nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday at Holy Child Church located at 4747 Amboy Road Staten Island, New York 10312.

Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Staten Island, NY. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Tuesday, May 21, 2019, at John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd, Staten Island, New York.
