Obituary for Frances Citarella Frances Citarella passed away Monday May 13th 2019 at the age of 101 years old. Born Frances Aversano in Manhattan on Aug. 8, 1917 she was the youngest of 10 children.

She relocated with her family to Brooklyn and settled in Bensonhurst at age 22 when she married. However, she eventually moved to New Dorp in Staten Island to be closer to her only child, Marie Englise. During her younger years, one of Frances’ favorite pastimes was dancing at the Roseland Ballroom in Manhattan.

Until her death Frances enjoyed shopping, visiting family members, and sitting poolside during the summer. In addition to her daughter Marie, Frances is survived by her grandchildren Michele and Cynthia and her great-grandchildren Diondra, Dominique, and Cienna.
