Evelyn D. Thompson, 80 of Myerstown, Pennsylvania passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2019, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Lebanon, Pennsylvania surrounded by her loving family. Evelyn was born and raised in Brooklyn until she moved to Staten Island in 1974 residing in Annadale, She then settled in Myterstown, PA in 2003. Evelyn was a dedicated home health aide with Local 1199 for 15 years.

Evelyn had many hobbies and interetst such as cooking, traveling – especially road trips, reading a good book; but her favorite activity was spending time with her grandchildren. Evelyn was a devoted wife to her husband James of 47 years. She was the loving mother to her two children, James and Jessica O’Leary.

Cherished grandmother to Ryan, Amanda, Kayla, Jocelyn and Jenna. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Wednesday at St Clare Church located at 110 Nelson Ave Staten Island, New York 10308. Interment will be in Rosehill Crematory, Linden, NJ.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Tuesday, March 19, 2019, at John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals, Inc., 28 Eltingville Blvd, Staten Island, New York.
