John Michael Cook, age 75, of Marshall TX, passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2019. Born October 5, 1943, in Stamford TX, he was the son of Henry Stanley Cook and Mary Sam Cook. He is survived by his devoted wife of 42 years, Beverly McNair Cook; his son, Kelly Wayne Cook and wife Heike of Round Rock, TX; daughter, Laura Davis Wall, and husband Jerry of Marshall, TX; 6 grandchildren, Brandon Michael Cook, Colton Lloyd Wall, Aaron O’Brian Cook, Ashley Jennings Filippazzo and husband Joseph, Brooke Jennings Parker and husband Justin, and Jacey Elizabeth Wall; and, 4 great grandchildren, Taylor, Aaron, Jace and Eden.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Vicki Jo Johnson. Mike, as most of his friends and family knew him, was a proud graduate of the class of 1962 Mary Carroll High School in Corpus Christi, TX. After High School he was recruited by Coach Bum Phillips to play college football for UT El Paso and later Arlington State (UT Arlington).

He was always known for his love of football, especially his beloved Longhorns from the University of Texas. Throughout the years he has remained close with many of his fellow classmates. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 from 10:00am to 11:00am.
