John Paul Sadowski, Saginaw, Michigan. Beloved husband, father and friend passed away suddenly Sunday, March 24, 2019. Age 53 years.

Son of John A. and Karen (Anderson) Sadowski, John Paul was born January 4, 1966 in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Laura K. Gosko on August 22, 1992. She survives him.

John was a law enforcement officer for the Saginaw City Police Department and Saginaw Township Police Department serving on the Swat Team, Crime Prevention Task Force, Detective Bureau and the Bike Patrol. He was Past President of Fraternal Order of Police at the state Lodge and active fundraiser for the Special Olympics. He was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church and St. Dominic Parish.

John enjoyed hunting, golfing, biking, his truck, and especially his family. He loved the Christmas Season and was known as Mr. Christmas by his family. Surviving besides his wife Laura are one daughter and one son, Emily Sadowski and Matthew Sadowski; his parents, John A. and Karen Sadowski, Freeland; his mother-in-law, Dorothy Gosko, Saginaw; his brother, Christopher Sadowski, Saginaw; his sisters, Jenny and Scott Gonzales, Saginaw; Michele Modafferi; his aunt, Vickie Rudolph, Harrison; two sisters-in-law, Cynthia and Christopher Wersteins, Hartland; Theresa Gosko, Portland, Oregon; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

John was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Michael Gosko; his grandparents, Paul and Alice Anderson; fraternal grandparents, Victor and Eleanor Sadowski; an uncle, Ronald Rudolph and a sister-in-law, Erin Sadowski. Funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 29, 2019 at St. Dominic Parish, SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 4735 W. Michigan, Saginaw.

Pastor Gil McDonald will officiate with burial in St. Andrew Cemetery. Friends may visit at the church where the family will be present on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the college fund for his children.
