Passed away Monday, March 18, 2019 surrounded by his family at Brian’s House in Esville, Michigan. Age 77 years. The son of the late Wesley and Catherine (Jarema) Leuenberger, Wayne was born November 25, 1941 in Saginaw, Michigan.

Wayne married Marilyn Robetoy in July of 1967. She predeceased him August 20, 2014. He was employed as a carpenter at General Motors until his retirement.

Wayne enjoyed woodworking and was an avid Detroit Tigers, Detroit Lions and Michigan State fan. He also enjoyed woodworking and was a talented artist. Surviving are one daughter, Lori Wolfe (Mark Pirkle); a brother, Bruce (Carol) Leuenberger; sisters, Rose Davenport and Catherine (Sissy) Davis; brother-in-law, Arthur Robetoy; many beloved nieces, nephews and lifelong friends; Wayne’s companion, Moe the cat.

Wayne was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Charles Leuenberger. Honoring Mr. Leuenberger’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends may visit at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd.

, (between Shattuck and McCarty), on Friday, April 12, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Entombment will follow at Calvary Mausoleum in Kawkawlin, Michigan.
