Obituary for John Richard Dillard, Jr. John Richard Dillard, Jr.,48, passed away on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Moses Cone Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at Wilkerson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wayne Kennon officiating.

Interment will follow in Mount Carmel United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 6-8 PM at the funeral home and at other times at the home of his parents, 766 Guerrant Springs Road, Ruffin. John was born in Rockingham County and was an employee of ABT.

He was a member of Peaceful Baptist Church and the Qua Qua Creek Gun Club. Those that preceded him in death include his father, John R. Dillard, Sr.; brother, Scott Strader; maternal grandparents, Paul and Addie Ellington; paternal grandparents, James and Octavia Dillard and cousin, Paul Ellington. Survivors include his wife Michell Dillard; children, John Clay Dillard, Gracie Dillard, Jared Dillard and Kalynn Evans and husband, Josh; parents, Danny and Virginia Strader ; sisters, Lisa Davis, Dana Strader and husband, Todd and Tonya Hilderbrand; special friend, Kim Brown; mother-in-law, Gwynn Barrett and husband, Jerry and father-in-law, Garry DeBord and wife, Joy.
