Obituary for John Riseden Kay John Riseden Kay passed away peacefully at the age of 73 on Tuesday, July 10, 2018. Beloved husband of Susan Petitfils Kay for 46 years. He was the loving father of Michelle Kay Schexnider (Neal) and Melissa Kay Hymel (Greg) and loving grandfather of Ava, Molly and Lola.

Devoted son of the late Ellen and Courtland Kay. Beloved brother of Wiley Kay (Kathy) and uncle of David and Brian Kay. He was a graduate of West Jefferson High School and the University of Southwestern Louisiana.

He retired from the Jefferson Parish Clerk of Court after many years of dedicated service. He was loyal to his family and friends and loved by all who knew him. He was an avid gun enthusiast, and a lover of history and movies.

He was a native of Gretna, LA and a resident of Marrero, LA for the past 42 years and a member of the William D. White Lodge #408. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expwy. , Harvey, LA on Friday, July 13, 2018 at 11am.

Visitation will be held Friday morning from 8:30am until 11am. Interment will be held privately at a later date. Family and friends can view and sign the online guest book at www.
